The Central California Genetic Counselor Association (CCGCA) is a newly formed, volunteer-led community founded by genetic counselors practicing across Central California. We bring local colleagues together, keep members informed about continuing education, highlight local genetics issues and advancements, promote public understanding of genetic counseling, and advocate for greater access to genetic services.
As a growing organization, we welcome founding members who want to help shape our mission, activities, and future. There has never been a better time to get involved.

Central California is a large, diverse, and often underserved region. CCGCA is committed to improving public understanding of genetic counseling and expanding access to genetic services.
Through community education, partnerships with local providers, and outreach events, we help patients and families understand how genetic counseling can support their health.
CCGCA maintains a speaker's bureau. If your school, organization, or media outlet would like a genetic counselor to speak at an event, send us a request and we'll help connect you with a representative.
